Description
A deep purple wool flatweave from Bejaâd, hand-embroidered throughout in cotton. Selected for texture, scale, and exact-piece character, with final color confirmed by video before payment is captured.

Construction
Handwoven as a flatweave. Dimensions: 151 × 104 cm (approx. 4'11" × 3'5"). Weight: 2.5 kg.
Condition
The wool ground is sound throughout, with no holes, thin areas, stains, or repairs. The weave remains even from end to end, the selvedges are firm along both long edges, and fringe is present at both ends. Cotton embroidery threads have loosened or frayed across parts of the field where individual motifs were stitched and finished. This is the piece’s primary point of wear. Two fibre-test samples measuring less than 2 cm were taken from threads that were already loose: one purple fringe strand at the head end and one pale blue embroidery end near the edge.
Provenance
This piece was bought directly from a weaver from Bejaâd, confirming its origin. The construction and materials were examined separately: the ground and warp are wool, and the applied embroidery is cotton, confirmed by fibre testing. Region: Bejaâd, Morocco (Verified) Tradition: Flatweave
Care
Shake out gently or vacuum using low suction without a beater bar. Spot-clean with cold water and mild soap. Use a professional rug cleaner for a full wash. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight.
