Description
This one-of-a-kind Beni Ourain pile rug pairs an ivory wool field with a single dark brown diamond lattice. Selected for texture, scale, and exact-piece character, with final color confirmed by video before payment is captured.

Wool from Middle Atlas, Morocco.
Construction
Handwoven as a beni ourain rug with diamond motifs. Dimensions: 217 × 110 cm (approx. 7'0" × 3'7"). Weight: 9.0 kg.
Condition
Full, deep pile coverage across the field. The dark brown lattice is unbroken along its complete run. The flatwoven end band is intact, and the fringe is full.
Provenance
Attributed to the Middle Atlas Beni Ourain tradition based on its ivory wool field, dark linear lozenge geometry, borderless composition, high plush pile, and substantial wool mass. The piece comes from the same acquisition series as LH-R-0035, which I identified as Beni Ourain, and its written acquisition record names the lozenge design. Care
Shake out gently or vacuum using low suction with the beater bar turned off. Rotate every few months to distribute foot traffic evenly across the deep pile. Spot-clean with cold water and mild soap. Use a professional rug cleaner for a full wash. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight.
